My Adventures in Asia
This blog is simply a collection of my experiences in Asia. I left the USA in 2014 at age 56 to explore a bit of the world and to broaden my horizons. So far I have not been disappointed in that decision. I have lived in both Malaysia and Thailand (my current home) and have also visited Laos and Cambodia. Many of my experiences may seem a bit boring because I am not really here for 'extreme travel' or bungee jumping off cliffs just to say I have done it. I am here to show you what everyday life is for an American expat in Southeast Asia. My experiences with food, language, culture and society will all be documented here. My home base for now is Bangkok, Thailand in a district called Thonburi which is on the west side of the Chao Praya River. I hope to organize this blog around daily activities such as eating (Food), working (Teaching), commuting (Transport), administrative (Passports/Visas), and other elements that an expat is required to become knowledgeable in to survive
